Hmm, you mean that El Celler de Can Roca will be new number 1? I’m not sure. I think Noma will stay at the top for one more year. As for Faviken I’m looking forward to seeing how far up Magnus and Johan and the team will go.

Just came across your great blog – We were in Paris last weekend and I see that you are booked into Agape Substance, you won’t be disappointed with David Toutain’s cooking & style, ask for table 00 I guess maybe you already have?! I will write about him soon on my blog.
I would love to go to Noma & even Denmark for that matter . I get the feeling that the number 1/100 best restaurant will go back to Spain next weekend – Fäviken Magasinet should do well and is on my “List” also, we will see.

I bet you had a blast at El Poblet! Quite happy and proud my blog was a source of inspiration to you. On the other side, I’d really love to go to Noma one day, you made it more appealing with every single report about it. Also interesting to know how El Poblet compares to Noma, their cooking styles seem to be quite similar.

Yes! Edinburgh
I think we have four nights in town and I think I would like both the fancy stuff as well as something very local and simple and unique for the city (=fun) – just like any visitor coming to CPH and ask me for advice
So, Tom Kitchen looks good. French touch with snails and foie gras and a lot of fish. Rib of Scotch beef dry aged for 26 days sounds good too. Yummy. The menu at Martin Wishart looks similar, but it would be lovely to do both, though it might be a bit unrealistic I better look for a couple of inexpensive places also. Look forward to hearing more!

this seemed the right spot for Edinburgh recommendations – is that right? I’ve not been for some time so you may wish to verify my comments … but as always, depends on what you are looking for. Of the Michelin starred spots, I would lean towards Tom Kitchin’s place http://www.thekitchin.com/ and there have been good reports from Martin Wishart http://www.martin-wishart.co.uk/main.html but I wonder if this would be as much fun.

There are other places that I would strongly suggest you avoid – but perhaps it would be more discreet to put those in an email!

Sa Qua Na is the one Guillaume advised you yesterday for lunch.

I’ll send you a link with the pics GoT has taken there last year in summer (some similarities with Michel Bras, not surprising as the chef – Alex. Bourdas – has been the chef of Bras in his Japanese restaurant for some years before coming back in France and open Sa Qua Na).

(Actually, Adam Price is my favourite too. Søren Frank is cool and I like him a lot too, but there’s something unique and warm about the way that Adam expresses himself).

Going back to Berlin, I really like the idea of letting Bruno decide what to drink – then I could try and guess it hehe. Okay calm down, Trine!

I’m considering Margeaux and Facil (I have two night, maybe three). Would you swap one of them with Ana e Bruno?

Have followed your blog some time now and I think you have tied for first place on my food critic list together with Adam Price:-)

For your June trip to Berlin I can highly recommend Ana e Bruno, located in the Charlottenburg area. I have eaten there a couple of times – latest back in July 2007.

The food is italian (you probably figured that out from the name) both innovative and some dishes very traditional.
If you like italian wine let Bruno decide what you should drink – you wont be disappointed.

I heard rumors about the restaurant at one time having 2 stars in the michellin guide but never had that confirmed – in my opinion it is only worth 1.

Keep up the good work and the eating, I really enjoy reading about it… And when you have the time, spend a weekend at Falsled in late September!
