Taller is Spanish for workshop, and the restaurant is the workshop of chef Karlos Enrique Ponte Maldonado (former chef at Hacienda Benazuza at the El Bulli Hotel i Sevilla and Noma) and souschef Luis Moreno Peña (former chef at Radio and namnam). Both chefs grew up in Venezuela. General Manager is Jacob Brink Lauridsen (also former Noma). Taller serves cutting edge and innovative Venezuelan gourmet food in beautiful and cool settings.
The 7 dish menu that I had was a fantastic journey through brand new visuals and exotic taste senses. The wine was lovely and masterly matched the dishes and the service was outstanding. I was really taken aback by the whole great and yet intimate experience. So delicious.
