What are you going to see and try in CPH?

I feel very lucky that I got to dine at Fat Duck and like you I don’t expect to get the opportunity to experience El Bulli – but will try all I can!

I saw you went to Honfleur – I am going there this summer and hope it’ll turn out nice. I’ve been told there is a nice restaurant I’d like to try.

Hi Trine – you have a very good memory. Manresa was simply outstanding .. 18-20 courses which were all excellent, and as Chuck has mentioned, there is an exciting collaboration planned for July between David Kinch and Rene Redzepi. That should be fun ..

Some other very good meals too .. especially at Ubuntu in Napa and also visited Coi, Incanto and Delfina in San Francisco.

That is amazing, Trine! I really wanted to go to Gagnaire when we went to Paris. But a dinner would be 10.000kr easy so it will have to waith until another time when we have saved up more. But wow I get hungry lust looking at those pictures! I look forward to your note on Kiin Kiin!!!

I think you have to try a few meals to hit both the highs and lows. As you saw with the oyster dish, the highs are about as good as you can get. And, as you experienced w/ the John Dory, Pierre Gagnaire (or his chefs) can cook fish like no other restaurants – perfect.

I’m skiping Pierre Gagnaire for the first time this July to try something new; but that’s after 4-5 visits.

To share it like we do now is probably the most funny and constructive way to look back to it. I laughed quite a lot reading you, it seems we lived indeed almost the same experience. And i was right about some guesses i made on your post.
